Energy Fair/Foire de l’énergie – Dec 5, 2019

On December 5, 2019 in the La Cité franco rotunda, students from Sheena Wilson’s climate change communications and media classes hosted a series of exhibit-presentations reflecting their learning and commitments to climate and energy justice. Members of the public were invited to engage in multilingual conversations with the students about their work, which ranged from speculations on the future of Bonnie Doon, to rap, spoken word, and song.

The Energy Fair was part of La Cité Résiliente, a community-led project with La Cité francophone and the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood. In response to the city-wide Change for Climate campaign, La Cité Résiliente brings together Bonnie Doon residents, students, business-owners and community users to learn, share and prepare for unfolding energy and climate transitions over the next decade.
