In Reflector 2, Sheena Wilson and Patrick Mahon focus on two interlinked SEF projects. Four members of the Speculative Energy Futures team, arist and professor Ruth Beer (Emily Carr University) Sheena Wilson, Patrick Mahon, and Big River First Nation knowledge keeper Kurtis McAdam (who will appear only in Episode 3) discus two interlinked SEF projects “Convergences” and “Bundle”, that centre on indigenous ways of knowing and traditional prophesies – and how they relate to the projects’ conception of energy transition. Convergences was a collaborative gallery exhibition entitled “Prototypes for Possible Worlds,” which showed at FAB Gallery in 2019. The Bundle project followed from it to extend indigenous teachings through sound, stories and other tools contained in a set of bundles housed in each of our FluxKits. These hand-held teaching tools are meant to be touched, listened-to, and shared. You can listen to Kurtis McAdam’s oral teachings on seven important topics, including treaty, prophesy, and knowledge here.
