In this episode knowledge keeper Kurtis McAdam enlarges on our understanding of indigenous bundles through a mix of story-telling, teaching and song, and helps us articulate a link between traditional bundles passed on through indigenous cultures over thousands of years, and our SEF FluxKit bundles. Kurtis McAdam is an Elder from Big River First Nation (located in what is now called Saskatchewan) and is a direct descendant to treaty signatory Chief Saysewehum (Treaty No. 6). He is a father, storyteller, a knowledge keeper and an activist. He was raised in a traditional Cree family and has spent his entire life learning the old ways of the Cree people. He does research with other elders to collect and preserve Cree oral stories and teachings. Please explore seven oral teachings as told by Kurtis on the FluxKit site as an accompaniment to this episode.
