Joan Greer, PhD Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam (Professor, University of Alberta, Canada), teaches the History of Art, Design and Visual Culture; she was a founding committee member of the Faculty of Arts/ALES Environmental Studies (ES) Programme and an ongoing member the University of Alberta Religious Studies (RS) and the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Interdisciplinary Programmes. She regularly teaches The History and Theory of Sustainable Design at undergraduate and graduate levels – a course that was piloted in 2001 and has as its current focus the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
